Music Fair Frankfurt 2011

This year I've been at the Music Fair in Frankfurt and would like to describe my impressions:

Like last year, I've been asked by the BOSE Corporation, to do the presentation of their L1 family (a sound system for musicians) at the Music fair.

Walter Pietsch, the former Axxis Guitar player, who works for Bose, established my contact to BOSE.

I agreed immediately when I was asked, because I would have the opportunity, to promote our new label and the upcoming DVD / CD at the fair.

I arrived one day earlier to prepare the presentation, to learn the script and to get in contact with the BOSE team. I especially was excited about Natasha Wright, the singer, with whom I should play live during the presentation.

The only thing I can say: What a voice, what energy and power, what a performance. I would like to know how a metal song would sound with her.

During my breaks I took a look at the exhibition grounds and made my necessary phone calls.

I watched some bands. I was pleasantly surprised by some, and very disappointed by others. But, at the end it’s always a matter of taste.

The most impressive thing was the drum performance by Dirk Brand, who already played some Axxis Shows in the past. I became dizzy while listening to his drum solo - WOW. I was thrilled …

i-Music, the Internet TV, was very interested in our upcoming Anniversary-DVD and they want to make a half-hour special broadcast of it. That’s great.

I also met Jürgen Will, who had filmed the Interviews on the Anniversary Show in Bochum.

Unbelievable, under what circumstances the people had to work during a Music fair. The noise level in the guitar hall for example sounds like a Milling in which jets used to start all the time. The piano division sounds like little children jumping simultaneously on all keys of all pianos at the same time. All in all it sounds like everything – but not music.

I always was happy when I entered the truck again where the BOSE presentation took place.

On Saturday Kosho, the guitarist of “Söhne Mannheims”, appears with his band live at BOSE. I didn’t know that someone can really rock with a classical guitar – and - Natasha could not hold herself and performed a song together with the guys. That was very cool. They already had a keyboard player. If not, I probably would have entered the keys for that as well.

Saturday night the fair ended. The dismantling of the stand took until 11p.m. Then we had to say goodbye. Natasha Wright, I miss her already, but who knows…

And now - just a cold beer at the bar.

Cheers
Harry:-)
