| THE STORY:
Years ago the former AXXIS label EMI Electrola in Cologne asked the band to release a "Best OF" cd of their most sucessful newcomer band AXXIS at that time.
 " The cd's are still selling super and it would be great to offer something new for the fans!" Gerd Gliniorz (EMI Repertoire Manager) said in 2001. But the band didn't want to release only a 100% copy of material that is already in the market. Bernhard:" Contractually the EMI is allowed to work with our old songs like they want , but in this case we wouldn't support this project!"
After a long period of negotiations, the label and the band are now very happy with a good result.
Former unreleased songs, new mixed material, and special acoustic versions recorded in the SOUNDWORXX studio in 2006 - all new mastered and remastered are an outstanding mixture for the fans.
"We were able to convince the label to invest a little bit more money into the project to get a worthy result. Today everybody is able to create their own AXXIS song collection or an own sampler with NeroBurning etc...;-). If a major label wants to release a BESTOF it must be more special l!" Bernhard said.
So the band and the label decided to release a double cd. The first one only with ballads and the second one only with special acoustic versions of former Axxis songs. Additionally two videoclips as a bonus....
...by the end of the day the band managed and fought for a great fan-package , stuffed with very special versions of great AXXIS songs.
