BERNHARD:
Sure, everything has started in the beginning of 2006.

We met the director (Walter Weyer) of the theatre in Germany in January 2006.  His idea was to do something  very special . The metalband AXXIS with powerful songs together with a very complex text from the  famous female german writer Kerstin Specht. Both sides got only one direction ..writing about their imaginations and emotions regarding the topic PROMETHEUS in relation of the world today. That's the reason why he called it "Prometheus Brain Project" ..It is not an opera!!

During our first meeting , we were talking about the Prometheus fire , the sign of progress and culture developement of  the human race . On the other hand Prometheus stands for a kind of revolution or fighter against the gods. He gave the human race the fire against the order and advices from Zeuss.

Walter , Harry and me are talking about the million different views that are taking place in our world. The globalisation, the clash of cultures, the wars for oil, the terror and the emptiness in our own minds. For example, the boarders are falling down in Europe, the cultures are coming closer to each other - but on the other hand the people are feeling worlds apart .

Since 1989 we got a lot of these topics in our lyrics to an it fits perfectly to our kind of songwriting. We wrote 7 new songs and we added  two songs from other Axxis productions into this project.

In july 2006 we were ready with this production and we got the text or better ...the story from Kerstin Specht that deals about a boy who wants to find his luck in the town of light ...PARIS ! He took all his money and went from the Caucasus to France. After a while he lost all his money and found of punkgirl under the bridge . He felt in love ! A soldier of the foreign legionnaires want to get him for the army . He killed him during a fight  accidently and now he has to escape. He went ot Afrika and saw the misery of the people there. The exploitation , the hunger,  the wars etc. and the business with poor people who wanted to come to Europe. Boats of people are on there way  to Spain, France an Italy with the hope for a better future. Prometheus is still there ....like an eagle who's watching the life of this boy . He always try to sell his eagle that has eaten a piece of his liver every day . Now he's sick and he wanted to give this animal back  to the human race. In this story we are trying to combine our music with the text of Kerstin Specht and I will stay on the stage as an actor. I play the conscience, the instructor of the army and the singer.

For me it's a lot of fun to work in a totally other athmosphere.
